The Vallejo City Unified School District Board of Education has approved higher daily rates for substitute teachers, a move designed to keep the district competitive, attract more qualified candidates, and reduce reliance on costly outside contractors.

VCUSD will host three town hall meetings this fall to gather community input on the second phase of school closures and consolidation.

The 7-11 Committee held its fourth and final meeting on Monday night, voting unanimously to approve its final report for the Vallejo City Unified School District (VCUSD) Board of Education.
